4th KEN Workshop: What’s your expectations?
Jogjakarta. For some participants, it’s their first time attending the workshop of knowledge sharing exchange. That’s why, some participants seems trying to wonder on what is the concrete objectives of the workshop? Will be happened? Or, what should be expected?
So, what should be expected from the knowledge sharing on disaster preparedness?
During the introduction, Dr. Sigit Wijayanta of Yakkum mentioned that CSOs are the frontlines actors in every humanitarian response and development. He said there’re many initiatives from CSO that has produce lesson learn and best practice in the field of humanitarian and development.
Therefore, he continued, the exchange knowledge and experience among CSOs is very important. The objective of every sharing knowledge and experience is to have a better action in the ground.
“We fully expect that the current KEN will goes further for collective actions both in grassroots level as well in our national and global advocacy,” Sigit said.
Fatimah from Maldives also had similar expectation. She said we need a concrete result from this workshop that we can bring it home and distributing it among our communities.
